Travel through Time

Erasmus House

The historical nucleus or the ‘Rinck’ of Anderlecht is squeezed between the sumptuous green Neerpede area and Kuregem, a vibrant multicultural patchwork. We take you on a journey through time and space, from the 11th century to today. We drop in on Erasmus and Guidon, we discover hidden treasures, architectural jewels and centuries old mural paintings. Also on our itinerary: contemporary ‘tears of heaven’ and a genuine folly…

About the exhibition

The ceramic works of Eileen Cohen Süssholz take their place in this house-museum dedicated to the life and work of Erasmus in a “tête à tête” with an old painting, a composite piece of furniture, a Gothic sculpture or a book from the 16th century. They question, in an ironic and offbeat manner, the themes of the pleasures of life and death which are fundamental to human beings
